Antique Flat Top Steamer Trunk – Circa 1895

A lovely large antique steamer flat top trunk with wooden support slats which feature small round iron studs. Complete with iron lifting handles and iron support bands on all corners. This trunk would have been originally used as a shipping trunk for a wealthy traveler in the late 1800’s for use on railway and large steamer ships (hence the name of the trunk).

This antique steamer trunk would make a fabulous addition to any living room, dining room or study, or could be used in a bedroom, at the bottom of the bed as a storage chest, please see our inspiration images for ideas of what it could look like in your home.
