Antique Oak Silver Chest

A rare antique oak chest, would have been used by its wealthy owner to transport silver, normally owned by royalty or other high society of the period. It has a lovely leather handle to the front and iron details to all sides of the chest. Remarkably it still has the original key which works, it is particularly special because of this. As you can imagine usually the keys have long been lost on a chest which is over 100 years old.

It is a very solid and heavy oak chest with dovetail joints, comes with a central removable compartment which splits the chest in two.
