Antique wooden chest from the first world war. This chest belonged to Army Sergeant A. Berry of the 2nd Rifle Brigade.

It has iron banding to all sides to add strength, large iron lifting handles to both ends of the chest and a plain brass plaque to the top.

Inside the chest has been white wash painted and has lots of storage space, a fascinating chest with lots of history. Would look fabulous in a loft style apartment or vintage style home. Would certainly be a talking point for your guests!

Dimensions: Height 59cm x width 50cm x depth 77cm

All of our vintage antique wooden chests, trunks and blanket boxes are old, often over 100 years old and will therefore show signs of use which we feel add to the character and appeal of the item. They will have knocks and scrapes consistent with age, many of our chests and trunks have sailed the seas and travelled to far continents carrying precious family possessions. We hope this unique chest or trunk will bring you pleasure and will be a centre piece for your home.
