Antique Steamer Trunk

A large antique steamer trunk with wooden support slats and vintage brown leather carrying handles to both ends.

This trunk had fabric on the inside which was very worn so we decided to remove the fabric and underneath we found someone had lined the chest with newspaper. The newspaper is dated 1922 and the title reads ‘Bohemia’, this was a newspaper printed in Prague from 1828 to 1938. One of the adverts is for ‘White Star Line’ which is the company that owned the titanic!
