Acknowledgment and Acceptance Of Your Order
If you place an order with chestsandtrunks.co.uk for a new item of furniture, the goods on this order will be made for you and to your specifications. It is important that you appreciate and understand that this order is a legally binding contract. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Processing Your Order & Delivery Dates
When placing an order with chestsandtrunks.co.uk we will say how long we expect (in weeks) it will take for your furniture order to be made and be sent to you. Occasionally, the manufacture of your furniture may be delayed through circumstances beyond our control. We will, of course, make every effort to keep you informed.
On the day of delivery, please ensure that you check the item delivered and look for any damage to the box and then check the product itself to ensure it is not damaged in anyway. To make sure you are completely satisfied the delivery team will ask you to sign for your furniture, at this point if there is anything wrong with the furniture you must make a note of this on the delivery note. Failure to do this at this time will result in the delivery company denying any liability for damage you may then discover.
Payment methods include debit or credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Delta/Connect or Maestro. Payments can be made electronically by bank transfer, details will be provided on request.
Subject to the level of personalisation distance selling regulation may or may not apply on your order.
Distance selling regulations only apply to customer’s order that have not been custom made to the customer’s specification In this case if you decide to return your furniture you must notify us, in writing, within 7 working days of delivery.
Should you wish to return the goods it is your responsibility to take good care of the furniture. You are the owner of the furniture once it has been delivered to you and you are liable for any loss or damage. Failure to take reasonable care may result in a claim against you. To minimise the risk of any such claim we ask that you retain the original packing and use it when returning the furniture.
It is your responsibility to return the items in good condition and with the original packaging, however chestsandtrunks.co.uk recognise that many customers do not have the means to do this, and so will arrange collection during normal business hours (Monday to Friday) if requested. In such circumstances a collection and shipping charge will be made to cover the cost of collecting the items and delivering them back to our warehouse.
chestsandtrunks.co.uk are one of the leading specialists in vintage and new storage chests and trunks and we go to great lengths to ensure that everything we sell is of the highest quality. We offer a 1-year manufacturers guarantee against new chests and trunks – all antique and old items are NOT covered by the 12 month guarantee as many are well over 100 years old.
The guarantee starts from the date of delivery and offers cover against manufacturing defects.
